This party could change your life! Act as if!

I have a mentor in real estate locally that has taught me many things about the industry. How things operate, great strategies, marketing techniques etc etc. But the best piece of information he has ever given me dealt with my mind and how I acted. He said you must "Act As If"

What he said was if I ever wanted to be as successful and as rich as he was I must start acting the part now. He said to me, " Peter, you must act as if you have already got the money in your banking account!" I tried to understand what he meant but it was difficult because I wasnt there yet and it was tough to act the part. But he said you must create it in the mind before you hold it in your hand! He told me he was having a birthday party for his wife and the theme was you must come as you would be in 2013! I had to act the part, dress the part, speak the part of just how I envision myself.

It was a tremendous party and I acted the part of being tremendously successful in every way. I showed up in a limo, rented a gorgeous tux, spoke about my rent to own business being all over the world and put on that air of confidence that is so critical.
We all learned a tremendous amount from that simple get together and we all utilize those thought patterns everyday to grow our business. If you want your business in 2009 to soar act as if you already have a multi million dollar business! Until next time... Party on!!!!!!

In 2009.... Give Something Above And Beyond What Is Expected of You!!!

If you want to become and incredible success at your job, business, in school, or in life, do more than is required of you! Give or do something unexpected, give something extra and do more than is required. If you go the extra mile you earn the respect, honor, and referral base of your customers.

Why should you give the extra effort without pay or recognition? In your heart you must know that your extra efforts are paying off. The cream will always rise to the top. An impeccable reputation will be yours which is such an incredible asset to have!

How can you go the extra mile in your job or business? Here are some examples:
1. You sell a house and when the new owner moves in she discovers a bottle of wine and a gift certificate to the local bed and bath store.
2. Someone contacts you about moving to your area and you provide them with an ample amount of details and contact info regarding the area and amenities.
3. You accomodate a client by showing them a house at 10pm at night because they are leaving early the next morning.
4. You bring pizza for the title company crew for lunch because they always go the extra mile for you and you always appreciate that.
5. You mentor an individual who is up an coming in your industry. Giving back always brings you more.
6. As an employeee you do all of your own work and always take on new responsibilities. You go the extra mile and work on yoru day off when another employee calls in sick. You see something that needs to be done and act on it before being told to do it.

What are you going to do to go the extra mile and give more value to your customers and boss? Suprise people with more than they exspect. Until next time...

0Are you utilizing social networking to dramatically grow your business? Hope so!!!!

The definition of social networking is tools, websites, technology and techniques that help internet usters expand their personal and professional networks. Here are the ones that I love and will definitely increase your business and sales!

Facebook and Myspace are definitely my 2 favorites of their category. Facebook being the more effective of the 2 but important to belong to both. When I say belong that means setting up a profile, networking with colleagues and classmates from school etc etc telling them about your business. But also asking about them and what they are up to. Be interested in them!

The third I love is linkedin.com This is the best business network site on the internet! And of course ActiveRain has the most phenomenal numbers and tools that anyone could ask for. Google blogger is the easiest to use hands down. So it makes sense to send your blog out on that also.

If you stay involved on these sites and network with classmates and colleagues and write blogs 3 times a week you will expand your business tremendously. Don't wait.... get started today! Until next time....

Why Saturday and Sunday are so important to your business!

Time mangement is so critical to your busienss. I find so many professionals who don't take advantage of the weekend to get so much work done! It truly sets up your week!

Most people say the weekend is for family and church and other personal activities which I totally respect and do myself. What many don't realize is that there can be a balance of work and family and play on the weekends. Often times on Saturday morning I work for 4 hours before the family even gets up! I call it dead time. We often go and do errands together and maybe hit a movie. When we get back i spend a few more hours organizing my emails and calling people back I could not reach during the week. The same goes for Sunday.

What happens is that for many professionals Monday roles around and they have to spend hours and hours clearing email, returning calls on voicemail, and doing the things that could of been accomplished Saturday and Sunday while still enjoying their family and personal lives.
We are in different times economically and you must be different than your competitor. What are you doing differently to maximize your time?? Until next time...
